Young Lions thrash Sarawak 7-2 in Malaysia FA Cup matchS.League club Young Lions thrashed visitors Sarawak FA 7-2 in the Malaysian FA Cup's quarter-final first-leg match at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Wednesday.
Khairul Amri scored for the Young Lions in the 23rd, 36th, 38th and 42nd minutes.
The Singapore side got their fifth goal in the 54th minute without having to score, thanks to an own goal by Sarawak's Sanjos Bin Sundawat.
Qiu Li and Shariff Abdul Samad added two more goals for the Young Lions in the 66th and 72nd minutes respectively.
Goals for the Malaysian side were netted by Mohd Safee Mohd Sali in the 33rd and 88th minutes. - CNA/ir
